The Mixing Zone is moving locations for the summer. We’ll be meeting at The Market Street Pub, so that we can take advantage of the great patio during the warmer evenings (if it’s cold, we’ll duck inside). Our next meeting is on May 13th at 6pm. Come join us!
I’m a bit late getting back into the groove this year, but just because I’m sleeping at the wheel doesn’t mean that others are. Others are busy getting there groove on for sure, others like Diego Diaz, who has done us a huge favor.
The Mixing Zone has an official logo!
Those of you who remember The Mixing Zone from years ago may remember my hastily “drawn in pencil on the back of a coaster” logo that I tried to use to let people know where our table was. That wasn’t the best plan for telling people our location, since they tended to walk past me thinking “who’s that strange guy drawing stick figures on the back of a coaster? Oh well, I wonder where The Mixing Zone is meeting…”
Diego took the words “water,” “environment,” and “martini” and came up with an awesome and fun logo for us. The experience was so nice that we’re working together on another project as well.
I highly recommend Diego if you’re looking for a graphic artist. He’s someone to whom I owe much respect and thanks (and a beer or two 
.

2009 is waning and the last days of the year have many of us in the midst of Holiday cheer turned to fatigue. Don’t let that stop you from looking forward to The Mixing Zone, however! It’s time to start making some serious preparations for getting together!
First off, our poll was non-functional, and I dropped the ball on figuring that out, so there’s a new poll over in the sidebar that should let you vote for your favorite day. Take the poll.
Next question: Location? The desire was to have a good location downtown, on the Max Line, with a good happy hour and plenty of room to hang out. I’ve got one suggestion of Red Star Cafe, I’ll need to find some others.
Sooo…
I’ll be working hard, scoping out possible happy hours over the next couple weeks… It’ll be a hard job, but I’ll do my best. Feel free to throw me suggestions, and maybe meet me to test out some locations. I could use the help judging
